Stratland Homes® of Florida Wins Big at Parade of Homes
Palmetto, FL - April 7, 2006 -- Two models at the Oak Trail community were entered into the Parade of Homes competition this year and both received accolades. The Parade of Homes is an annual joint event between the Homebuilders Association of Manatee and Sarasota counties. This year's event ran February 25 through March 12, 2006 and there were 115 entries.
Stratland Homes walked away with seven awards for their Oak Trail community. The Cathedral Oak model won the best curb appeal award in the multi-family $203,000 to 250,000 price bracket, and the Silver Oak model won six awards (which is one in every category) in the multi-family $260,000 to 290,000 price bracket. The awards for the Silver Oak model are as follows: best curb appeal, best kitchen, best master suite, best floor plan, best architectural detail and best overall in their price bracket. In addition, ribbons were distributed for special features within some of the homes. The Cathedral Oak model received a best feature ribbon for the kitchen, and the Silver Oak model received a best feature ribbon for the game room.
"We expected to win some of the award categories but were pleasantly surprised to find out that we received top honors in both price brackets as well as the individual awards," said Joselle Culp, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Stratland Homes of Florida. This was Stratland Homes' second year in the Parade of Homes. Last year, the English Oak model at the Villas at Oak Bend community won six awards.
